Rep. Mike Honda Raises More than $650,000 in First Quarter of 2014 for Re-Election Campaign

Silicon Valley, CA – The Mike Honda for Congress Campaign announced today that it has raised more than $650,000 in the first quarter of 2014, bringing it to more than $1,050,000 cash on hand.

The total amount was raised this quarter by contributions from more than 1,750 individuals and shows the campaign’s growing grassroots support. More than half of the contributions were $100 or less, as they have been throughout this election cycle.

“I’m humbled by the incredible support from our grassroots supporters nation-wide, which makes this campaign possible, and I anticipate will continue to grow,” said Rep. Honda.

Campaign Manager Doug Greven said: “Our campaign has always said that we would have the resources we need to win in November, and our strong numbers this quarter show that we are on track. We know that Mike will make it past the June 3 primary, and we will continue to marshal our resources for the November general election.”

The Federal Elections Commission’s deadline to file a report of fundraising for federal candidates for the first quarter is April 15. Final numbers for how much the campaign raised from January to March will be available then.
